Putin says Russia needs extra steps for Kaliningrad transport link

KALININGRAD, Oct 31 (PRIME) -- Transport accessibility of the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad should be improved, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

“This is an issue of the connectedness of the Russian territory. This is the flight fare, first of all,” he said.

“We subsidize and will continue to subsidize it, but I think that this is not enough. We need to take additional steps to make travel to Kaliningrad and from Kaliningrad easy and cheap, and make it a bargain as compared with foreign trips.”
